With this service, a consumer's eCheck is authorized for payment from the consumer's checking account. Authorizations are made by the NCN database prior to acceptance for clearing and the Automated Clearing House (ACH) system provides clearing of transactions. In addition, returned items are automatically reinitiated or collected on the merchant's behalf.
